its quite strange that they included 'catch the sun' on the list because they only dusted it off after 8 years at the electric proms gigs and stated that they have issues with it.

must be because its a fan favourite!

They should do a McCartney and play for nearly 3 hours (O2 gig).  Though thinking about it, that still wouldn't be long enough.

Satellites is probably one of my top 5 Doves songs.  Top 5 (in no particular order):

Satellites
Pounding
The Cedar Room
Almost Forgot Myself
Snowden

Did they? Explains why I haven't heard it since 'that' Other Stage gig in 2003.

Agreed on the problems with putting together a best of. I get an aneuryism trying to make Doves playlists

me and my bro looked at each-other as the opening chord hit, broke out into even bigger smiles and bounced for entirety of the tune!

Don't tease me.  I mean it.  Stop it.  Now.  Firesuite is playing in the background right now.  Coincidence?

I'd like to see them perform this year.

Didn't get to see them last year at Glastonbury as there were other folk I wanted to see, and I'd just seen them in the May (Brixton I think?). They are bloomin' fab live!

Peace x

Yeah but by stirring rumours about ANY of the Mancunian Triumverate ™ - MT for short -  you only get my hopes up.

Because I love Doves.  Seriously - I love them, but haven't seen them as many times as I should have.  So I REALLY want them to play this year.

1 of the MT - ecstatic LW
2 of the MT - orgasmic LW
All 3 of the MT - LW dies from overexcitement.

Elbow - unlikely at the moment
Kloot - no idea but not beyond the realms of possibility
Doves - the rumour fire is being stoked more than Wayne Bridge's missus.

I'd say 2 out of 3 are possible.

Really hope they play again this year, the set in the JP was fantastic last year and ending it with a spot off sub sub whilst showing photos of the late great DJ was one of my highlights of the festival.

Great at Gmex too - anyone know if that show is out on DVD at all?

agreed. i would say that of the 6 times they have played glasto (are you counting LW?) that last year was easily their 2nd best effort (i really dont think their ever going to top (at glasto) headling the other stage, sunday, 03)

and their reverence and affinity for the place, and the man, was touching

come on, they love glastonbury, glastonbury loves them (has any band played more sets over the last 11 years?) emily and michael love them, its a complete mike99*

*mike99 in internet slang now means No Brainer

the only live dvd im aware of is utterly beautiful 'where were calling from' with their 1st eden sessions gig - i highly recommend it for all their obsessive compulsive stalkers fans

although surely the spaghetti monster will allow this on DVD soon
