Saw Doves headline the JP stage on Friday last year and they were excellent.
What's the chances of them appearing this year?

God I hope so.
Will be my first time since 2004 and they've been one of the bands I've always managed to miss for x amount of reasons.
Personally hope to see them on the Other Stage Saturday evening, but the chances of them being on at same time as Muse? Pretty slim I'd guess. More likely to be up against Mr Wonder.

dunno
they are hitting the festivals again this summer.
but after last year im struggling to think of the right spot for them.
3rd or 4th down the list on the pyramid?
but they do love the place and the place loves them (i think its 7 or 8 times theyve played it now)
and if they were to play, barring a clash with the paddywhackers or mr judkins, id be there in a flash!

I'd be surprised if they played again, but god I hope they do. They were one of the acts I was gutted about missing last year.
Tugs - have they said they're playing festivals again this year then? <Crosses fingers>

Not based on anything in particular, but I fancy them for a secret show somewhere

i think its 7 times so far, 1 more wouldnt hurt!!
I'm on a meagre 3.
Kloot still head the most-seen of the Great Mancunian Triumverate with 8. Wouldn't it be great to add oe to all 3 of them?

Missed Doves last year but saw them at the G-MEX in December and they were great. Super Furry's did a good support slot too.
I thought that Doves were initially offered a support slot on one of the main stages, but they actually requested to play in the JP themselves, preferring a tent to the outdoors arena type atmosphere? If that's the case, then they may well crop up there again.
Park headliners? Would be 'kin ace if they were. Ideally Friday so I can be a suitable long distance away from Bonio & Crew.

It makes me more than much more than moist.
It's a very promising development.
Oh - and by the way - it's Doves. Not 'The' Doves. But cheers for the info - I'm off to clean myself up.

Same. With them being fairly high up last year, I just can't see them being booked again so soon.
My own little fantasy is that they get a repeat booking, based on bringing this...

then doing a greatest hits set on the other stage, with occasional input from the london bulgaria choir (i was at that gig - best gig theyve ever done and in my top 5 of all time) has me in all sorts of bother!!

They had some of the choir at the G-MEX for a few numbers. Spine tingling it was.
I agree that "disc 1" is all killer. That said, the set at G-MEX I think had all these. Black & White Town and Words had me completely lost in my own euphoria.
