Setlist from Friday.

1. The Children
2. Madder Red
3. Tightrope
4. Love Me Girl
5. I Remember
6. Wait for the Summer
7. Final Path
8. Strange Reunions
9. Rome
10. Ambling Alp
11. Mondegreen
12. O.N.E.
Encore:
13. Grizelda
14. Sunrise
15. 2080

Was one of the most exiting shows ive been to recently and def then best one ive seen in the venue. Theyre quite a studenty/girly band which i wasnt aware of.

Opener "The Children" really reminded me of out-there Ween which is right up my straße. "Ambling Alp" and especially "O.N.E." sounded superb off the new album. Place went ape when they played "Wait for the Summer" and the roof came off when they started "2080". The three lead vocalists/multi-instrumentation was breathtaking.

Check the vocals on this vid for example - gorgeous.

just before laura marling i was hoping.
otherwise i'll be crushed if they don't turn up on the lineup somewhere. i'm working at leeds so there's always the chance i'll miss them with a shift and i couldn't get to see them on tour this time around :P

honestly, these and the hold steady are the two main names i was looking for this summer, with the hol steady playing a low slot on the other stage this is all i have left (hi, melodrama)

the frequency with which local natives are playing does make me happy though.

Noticed that Yeasayer have been added to T in the park and have new dates in the UK at the start of july, I'll get to see them in Sheffield but hope that they'll also be added to the glasto line-up.
