They're playing a show in Manchester on 24th June, so could be a possibility?
I really hope so anyway.

I would love it!!!! Saw them last year and they were so good, amazing in fact!!!

Their new album is out on 14th June in the UK so seems likely to me. After last year I suspect they will have an affinity with Glastonbury.
Where did that info about their tour come from btw?

It's just a one-off by the looks of things, it's on the Manchester Academy site

Yeah I just got a bit frantic about that.
Surely they aren't coming to the UK to play one show. I'd like to see them away from festivals though.

Must be a Glastonbury warm up date on 24th. I'd say it makes them as good as confirmed. If I don't end up going to Glastonbury I'll definitely go to this.

Surely they will add other non-festival dates. Hopefully July-August.

agreed. not a chance in hell they're in England on the 24th and not making a Glasto appearance, especially after last year's lovefest with the crowd in the JP tent. great news, even if it was expected. now, the question begs, where will they play? a pyramid afternoon slot or 'highish' up on Other Stage? They'll definitely draw a decent crowd

Would love it if they played again. Really enjoyed their set last year.

They'll have the slight problem of a new album due out only 9 days before the festival which is going to make it difficult for all but the die-hards to get into it.
I can't decide where I'd most like to see them. I think on the Pyramid would be good but I like to build up to the best acts so 1pm when I'm horribly hungover won't be ideal!

it wouldn't be that early on the pyramid. 4 or 5ish, or the Fleet Foxes time slot from last year.
this thread should probably be merged with the earlier Gaslight Anthem one...
and surely...a New Jersey band, over in Manchester on the 24th, who had the time of their musical careers at Glastonbury last year, are warranted at least a rumour on the EFests list??? they're definitely going to be there.

aww this makes me slightly upset that i will already be at glasto when they are playing round the corner from where i live,
they are deffo gonna be at glasto now, why come all this way and not play????, and wht are the odds of them doing a slot on the Pyramid then somewhere else too?? or would that be pushing my luck

It's like we're willing it to be true. Does look very very likely it has to be said.
I think FF slot would work fine - they'd probably be marginally higher on the other stage but not high enough (i.e. second) to make a real difference so I'd be happy with the Pyramid. Friday please.

According to the bands website they're doing a couple of German festivals in June.
Excellent at Shepherds Bush early last year and awesome in the JP tent with Bruce at Glasto.
Fingers crossed !!!

Oh wow thank you - awesome news. I would say that makes them 90% sure .... I don;t think they'd come over for one gig only - hopefully a mini tour for the new album and then an epic Glastonbury appearance
I so hope this happens
