I know there are dozens of threads, with opinion after opinion but being a scientist I like clear, concise data :P So a poll it is :P

*my bad edited it half way through, I didn't vote on the third one either :P so the 3rd question is -4 votes!

No need for the maybe option - either people want to be able to see the acts or they don't mind flags blocking their views.

I think banning them is totally unworkable!

I also can see why it annoys people that they are at the front of the stage but I think that in general, we are controlled too much in this country. Glastonbury is the one place that feels a little more free. If they start banning flags it will feel less free and a bit like governments legislating against every little thing!

They don't really bother me anyway though.

i voted to get rid of the flags in front of the main stage :(  but i can totally see where your coming from we don't want to turn glasto into a security state  :P :P  .i mean we go to glasto to get away from every thing don't we .but the flags do seem to be getting out of hand .
one other thing we should think about ,if they ban flags wots next????

Why not just ask him nicely not to post anymore flag threads? As there's too many around already? People can surely just move away from the posts? and they do help people to find their way around the forum.  :P

+ 1  I don't think I'd be that bothered by flags unless someone has a great whopper of one blocking my view.

The idea about a message saying when to put flags up and down is taking it a bit too far, if they enforce that how long will it be until you have to be quiet until after a song has finished? lol

This is an interestinmg thread but it's probably more important to vote on the Glastonbury Festival's own website poll. http://www.glastonbu...rom-glastonbury

A skewed poll presented with bias?  What makes you think voting on that is important?

Surely people who don't like the flag threads can simply move other threads in front of them, so that they no longer get in the way...?

"Our gut feeling here at Festival HQ is that they shouldn't be banned"

Yep - not a biased poll at all.  Even the "in front of the Pyramid Stage" caveat is buried in a second paragraph but isn't mentioned at all in the poll question.
