Just been announced to play where I live (Plymouth) in early June, i'm assuming there going to do a full UK tour in support of their new album. There also playing week before Glasto at Isle Of Wight. Surely they will stick around 1 more week?

I think it's fair enough call Crowded House an Australian band as long as you acknowledge the talented one is from New Zealand.

Errr....No!  Antipodean means from "down under" so to speak.  Andy Murray is British (when he wins!).

The Antipodes traditionally refer to Aus and NZ, though some people use it for South Africa as well...

And yeah, it's the equivalent of the English calling Andy Murray, Ryan Giggs and the Scottish curling team that won gold 'British'.

they were excellent in 2008, they had the organised security's lives !

probably one of the funniest things i've seen on stage, the band trying to provoke one of security to turn around to look at them when they werent allowed ! the whole crowd egging them on and the big screen capturing it all.

perfect for a sunny afternoon slot

I know for a fact the Finns are 100% Kiwi, not sure about the others but they were based in Aus for a while. A bit like Russell Crowe. Oh, their new (ish) drummer is American, used to play for Beck.

It was excellent entertainment much to my amazement, was very impressed. I was very much dragged to see them, in fact beforehand they were one of my "Must not sees" for the weekend  :P

I've checked out Crowded House for glastonbury with a close friend who really should know whether they will be there or not and it seems they will not be there I'm afraid.

Seems they will be in Spain at that time - I know they can fly back (U2 are coming from USA after all) but seems very unlikely from what I've been told.

Agreed. I'm seeing them in Aberdeen at the end of May.

The real shame, however, is the new album wont be out until after I see them!
