I definetly remember either Emily or Micheal saying that another headliner will be announced before the end of the month. This is true, yes??

I must admit U2 was a shock , but everyman and his dog seems to know Muse are gonna play
but Glasto have not said anything yet ( I think ) about them.

I don't remember anything about the end of the month but sure i heard something about beginning of March. Not sure if that was the whole line up announcement though - but then that seems a bit early for that!
Agree next announcement will probably be a Muse announcement!

Aye !
Thats why when someone posted that Muse were def for the Saturday , I thought you would not
have put them down as a TBC for the Sunday without good authority.
4000 posts soon so you can see where my trust goes !

Muse have said they want to play, hardly going to turn down one of the best live bands around down. Guess they will take Sat or Sun Headline slot, depends which one Coldplay want.

I still can't fathom why people don't think muse can or will headline the festival.....They are probably the biggest british band of the decade in terms of live shows, albums and ability.....
granted its the 40th Anniversary, but in 10 years it will be the 50th Anniversary, and I would take a stab that they would be top of everyones list then, (next to bowie, zep, rolling stones....but lets face it they are likely to all be dead or too old to put on a good show by then)
i think if we get to see muse on the sat or sunday it would be an amazing show, from a band in their prime...
People seriously need to give up on the led zep thing...it will never happen...same goes with RStones, unless glasto or RS dramatically change their budget or fee...which wont happen...

In fairness on what basis are you making that statement?
Live shows and albums. I'd guess Oasis sold more albums and played to more people in the last decade.
I'm not arguing Oasis's case, I'm saying how your "strong" arguments don't hold true.

If you are looking at bands who are still together, then you're not going to come up with many names who can sell out multiple nights at Wembley.
