Go for a black DJ, hides a multitude of sins!

Just use the onsite laundrette. I'm sure they've got a press.

Ahh, but I've heard that they don't do dry cleaning and I won't subject my DJ to water and suds.

There's always dry cleaners that do delivery and pickup as part of the deal. Imagine trying to explain that one over the phone through a cidery haze...

"Yeah, address? It's Kidney Mead, what number? Erm... it's a blue tent..."

Excellent! let's get some momentum going...

Posh Sunday!

You know it makes sense! :P

I'm all up for a Posh day, am planning on wearing 18th century costume with masquerade mask. Not sure Sunday's the best day, normally feeling pretty rough by then, and I'll be leaving my costume in the car until the day I wear it.

Friday would be better to dress up on. It has the added bonus of photos potentially appearing in Q Daily on the Saturday.

Compulsory Wellington boot wearing with minimal clothing a must...

must add to my wellington pic collection...
Erhm, you might possibly need to be a tad careful or perhaps slightly more specific in your requests ...

unless chunky farmer stylee peeps in nice muddy wellies is your bag of course :P

[With apologies to the not-so-chunky farmer who needed rather more than the merest hint of photoshop stylee editing for illustration purposes !]

.. wanders off slightly concerned that asking Mr.Google about "naked people in wellies" wasn't quite such a good idea after all :P

I've always wanted to wear a top hat, monocle and cane combo. Bring it on.

On Sunday last year we were sat at the Pyramid stage for most of the afternoon (oh the shame) and there was a big bunch of people behind us with a woman wearing a wedding dress and about 10 blokes all in DJ's and tails. They looked pretty clean!

Personally i just take trackie bottoms and polo shirts.
A fleece and a light coat as well as a waterproof jacket and trousers.

Nice and lightweight and compact.

...and boring! :P

Many, many years ago I rented a flat that had a chocolate brown carpet (believe it or not the height of cool at the time) and I thought 'great it won't show the dirt.'

WRONG!  I discovered that there's as much white dirt as brown dirt and I had to clean it just as much as if it had been a white or cream carpet.

Still, I suspect that at Glasto brown dirt will outweigh white.

On the choice of dress up day, maybe Friday would be better than Sunday.

posh day sounds great! i'd love to kick about in a ballgown, fur coat and some tacky jewelery. :P

A fake fur coat would be best, real fur would be frowned at by most at Glas10bury.

Can anyone help me with the Glastonbury dress code?
Whilst obviously not being smart, shirt and tie etc, what is acceptable attire. I was going to play safe and go for smart casual but even smart casual has some ambiguity. For example, I don't want to arrive after a long journey only to be turned away because my shirt doesn't have a collar.

Yes, men may wear a dress. Quite a lot do.

:P

There is no "dress code" par say. It is a family festival so clothes are appreciated in the main areas, but beyond that, whatever takes your fancy (or tickles it!).

I prefer to dress practical but some people really push the boat out and go mega party dress up.

I was really up for that in the casino at the lost vagueness in 2007; they had dress/suit hire as well
didn't happen for one reason or other - I think madness playing the ballroom basically brought the place to a standstil

Last year i gave up trying to get into the NY disco/tattoo only place , put off by queues (again they kit you with mustosh/'tattoo)  but perhaps this year will do something; My trouble is   If I have to queue for ages I think I'm missing valuable time elsewhere; Silent disco on the thursday was great fun though and not much of a queue

Back to the dress;-  I think 'blue man group' / spidermanesque all in one sort of outfits and super heros seemed to be favorite last year; Seems a bit claustrophobic to me?
