Can anyone help me with the Glastonbury dress code?
Whilst obviously not being smart, shirt and tie etc, what is acceptable attire. I was going to play safe and go for smart casual but even smart casual has some ambiguity. For example, I don't want to arrive after a long journey only to be turned away because my shirt doesn't have a collar.

This made me smile.....thank you for cheering me up.
There is no dress code ......maybe technically a no dress code...so make sure you have at least your undercrackers on until you get inside at least. Wear what you feel comfortable in wherever it be a pink tutu, gorilla suit, pyjamas or my own dress of choice, mexican wrestler! For the rain you need to be waterproof, for the cold you need to be warm and when the sun comes out this year ( as it will) you need to slap on the sun creme and enjoy the rays.

I reckon the best description of "acceptable" is absolutely anything at all other than totally naked TBH
Naked used to perfectly acceptable as well of course but, sadly, it would appear that this is no longer the case now due to Political Correctness and/or unfounded hysteria stylee issues
NOT that I would ever consider going naked myself you understand (and you'll no doubt be *very* relieved to hear that !) but I for one have no probs whatsoever if anyone else chooses to do so.
Just beware of having fairy wings that clash horribly with your afro wig andgimp maskwellies and you'll be just fine

I've always wanted to wear a cream linen suit and Panama hat and might get round to it this year because it's going to be sunny.

You will not be allowed on the monorail without shirt and shoes. Other than that you will be fine.

I'd suggest tweed for the day, possibly a nice gold / green as it will hopefully be sunny, and then whatever your evening plans require (unlikely to be any white tie events, but black tie will be a distinct possibility). Of course this assumes your English, if Scottish then replace black tie with formal highland wear. Can anyone help me with the Glastonbury dress code?

I have just that attire, I wore at a wedding in Zante last year. I was considering taking it.
You have made my mind up!

There's no way I can wear the same frock as last year, the fashion mags would have a field day!

I do not mean to start a row but the other year I seemed to get a bit peeved by the amount
of people wearing
Blue Jeans
Bergaus Jaclets
Large Rucksacks
All spotlessly clean as they if they had just walked out of Milletts . I remember walking in to the
red flag one afternoon and it was pretty warm , and I thought f**k me am I missing something
here.
Sorry !

Haha, I'm considering wearing my full dinner suit and black tie for one of the days if it's not too warm!!
With wellies oviously...

What is it with the Under 20s and superhero outfits?
I lost count of how many Robins, Batmans and Bananamen I saw. Get some inspiration folks...its getting boring now.
At one point there was a Bananaman and his many banana'ed up minions surrounding him.

I saw two naked people last year. They made us smile. First time I had seen full blown nakedness at Glastonbury.

I want to own this skirt by Glasto, it is supreme amazingness.
I am also feeling the need to acquire a bumble bee costume and some rather exciting false eyelashes :-)

Ha! I camped naked last year and went nude for a lot of the festival and was made most welcome, no one cared, which was great. So there's a good chance I was one of the naked people you saw!

haha! Probably! I would post the pic and ask if it was you (only maybe you don't want your naked body on Efestivals!
) but the person who had it on their Facebook account has just deleted their account recently so can't get to the pic!

I was going to go in one of these. Should be able to keep it clean, but if not, I'll just have to go to the laundrette. There is a laundrette on site, right?
