Been told they are doing a final gig in Sydney before the hiatus, and its at a smallish venue, but it was the first venue they played when they came to australia, so supposidly has sentimental value for them. Well that's what i was told by a friend who works at the venue.

Yeah same as Ivan, saw them in new bands in 04 cos I was waiting for Hope Of The States. Who were fantastic. There is NO JUSTICE in music sometimes.

There is not !
I saw HOTS quite a few times , I loved the Lost Riots , one of the best albums of the last ten years.
Its just a shame that they could not keep it together. I saw their new band North Western last
summer and they were vey good !

This i think sum's it up for me, they are great live because they do all the great songs. I very rarely listen to one of their albums all the way through though.

Totally agree. The Lost Riots was one of the most underated albums of the last decade and Left wasn't half bad either (10" vinyle!). They should have been massive. On the plus side after that show in new bands I saw them about 10 times, including their last show at Reading, and they were never less than stunning. Have seen a few of the projects since including some instrumental thing in an art college where we all sat down crossed legs on the floor! Got to know Sam a bit through a mutual friend. Good bloke. I need to check out the North Western.
