One of the pleasures of the summer !

  :P

But it can be a love hate thing

Love to see it in all its glory , but then you ge the awful feeling in the pit of your stomach when
you realise Faithless and Interpol and The Cribs are all gonna clash.

Then you hope Halvin has got it wrong , but you realise he prob hasn't so depression sets in !

   :P

as always im telling myself that this year there will be less rushing around to see things... but that's not going to stop me printing off a clashfinder and using my colour coded highlighting system (must sees/ would like to sees/ maybe see if in the area/ acts with amusing or interesting names) :P

Halvin is a hero!

Terrifically useful - and a great conversation starter with randoms holding bits of paper with a cow's face in the corner.

did anyone get the 'I'm Halvin' t-shirt thing going last year? probaly hijacked by MJ checking out but i thought it would be a good idea nonetheless

the clashfinder is now established as a legendary part of the festival experience and there arn't many of us ordinary folk who you could [genuinely] say have created something like that

cant wait for revE already

By the final revision most of the times are the same at those printed in the guide you get as you go through the gates.

So if it was completely wrong it likely you had an old revision or the offical timings got changed at late notice.

The clashfinder is an amazing thing, its unreal how many people you see unfolding it when checking times as opposed to using the official guide.

"I'm Halvin" t-shirts would be a good laugh

What? It was not that wrong! And sure the main days Fri-Sun where pretty much bang on TBF

This thread is a "no negative comment thread" even if only being slightly negative!

Halvin is a legend! His work is masterful and every single last one of us on this forum are simply not worthy!

It's another excitement marker/milestone along the road to Glastonbury, I sometimes find myself yelling at my printer to hurry the f**k up and print so I can let loose with my highlighter pens.  Fantastic bit of kit, every Hippy should have one :-)

Ah yes! many have fallen for this! I saw people with revisions B, C and the likes! One must be very careful with regards the Halvin clashfinder........one must know how to use it and treat it with respect!

Its plain to see where spinks went wrong!

Thom Thom, if your signature wish is granted then it's sure to be the most beautiful edition of the clashfinder yet :P

Ah! I have had that there since just after last year............at first I was very hopeful............that turned to a "sure you never know".............nows its just wishful thinking on my part! But I shall keep it up there till I feel its utterly pointless.............and Im afraid to say its nearer that stage then ever before!  :P

I remember feeling the blood drain out of me last year when I realised Kasabian and Maximo
Park were a clash.

I hoped Halvin had it wrong , but guessed he prob did not !

I have a vision of Captain Manwaring , Seargent Lewis and Pike all huddled over the PC .

Manwaring muttering " oh this stupid thing ! "

And Corporal Jones running around behind them shouting

"Keep calm Mr Manwaring !, Keep calm ! "

Says on his site: "A massive, massive thank you to all the people who donated to the clashfinder fund. It's appreciated more than you'd believe. I'm sure you're all dying to know what the final present was -- Mrs H has got/will get a bottle of champagne, a bunch of flowers, a pair of shoes and a hair cut. After all that lot there ought to be enough for a new dress too. Aren't you just a lovely bunch of people."

We have a little ritual on the Wednesday.

Race from the car to the campsite, fight, erect tents, fight, sit down on picnic rug with large (plastic) glass of something strong and nasty, then I hand out the Halvins, hand out the high-lighters and then we fight some more  :P

Happy, happy days

Pick up a penguin?  No, hand out a Halvin
