The Worldwide Festival is back in the idyllic small fishing town of Sète (South of France) from the 8th to the 11th of July 2010. Behind the scenes Gilles and the WF gang are cooking up an amazing line-up for this 5th edition of the WF in Sete which promises to be the best yet.

4 days in 3 different stunning outdoor venues, a fantastic clubbing area specially designed for the festival situated in the heart of Sete’s harbour, a mammoth 16 hour beach party on Sète's best private beach on the last day of the Festival and still the magnificent “Theatre De La Mer” for some unforgettable live performances. Worldwide baby!

WF STREET PARTY

This year to kick off the Worldwide Festival (8-11 July) in style we are bringing the WF vibe onto the streets of Sete. On Thursday July 8 - From 1pm until 7pm - the street between the CRAC "Regional Center of Contemporary Art" and the canal will be blocked off, making way to a unique inner city festival experience with artists like Dorian Concept, Half Seas Over and Koko. On this occasion the CRAC will remain open for those party people who wants to visit this incredible space and enjoy the Claude Lévêque exhibition called the Diamond Sea. The Crac is located on 26 QUAI ASPIRANT HERBER - 34200 SÈTE. Then around 8pm everybody is off to the St Christ for the official opening of the festival to enjoy performances from Gil Scott -Heron, Foreign Beggars, Mala, Floating Points & Fatima, Gilles Peterson and Lefto. Not bad for Day one!

Flying Lotus confirmed for Worldwide Festival 2010!!

The Worldwide Festival fam are very proud to announce the addition of Flying Lotus to a bill already rammed with heavyweight talent. FlyLo joins the likes of Gil Scott-Heron live, Josh Wink, dOP live, Norman Jay, Floating Points feat. Fatima, Quantic & His Combo Barbaro live, Dynamite MC, Jeremy Ellis live, Joy Orbison, Ladybugz, Foreign Beggars live, DJ Kind Of A Big Deal, Dorian Concept live, Kevin Beadle, SBTRKT feat. Sampha live, Jeremy Boon, Half Seas Over live, Mala, Gilles Peterson & Roberto Fonseca present Havana Cultura live, The bPm, Simbad, Son Of Kick, Lefto, KoKo, Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou live, Kyle Hall and his LA-dwelling cohort The Gaslamp Killer… HEFTY!!

If you’re not familiar with FlyLo’s loopy, lo-fi aural cinematics, then quite frankly “Where the f%$@ have you been for the past 2 years”? Signed to UK electronic institution Warp Records in the wake of his debut LP on Plug Research (entitled ‘1983′), he dropped the wonderful ‘Los Angeles’ LP last year and his brand new album ‘Cosmogramma’ just hit the streets to universal acclaim. His live sets flit between tempos, and he draws on his myriad influences from jazz to dubstep create a real otherworldly experience – his trademark crashing drums rolling over those widescreen soundscapes – definitely next level shit. In short, it will be AWESOME!! http://www.worldwidefestival.com
