I'm new here, probably going to go this year. Anyway in the issue of NME out today, they say that the headliner's are Kasabian and Kings of Leon. Go see it in the shops if you think I'm lying. Thoughts?

i'd settle if kasabian played the debut in full and a couple from each of the new albums :P saw them do their last gig from that tour and it was brilliant, every bugger in the tent pogoing about.

I'd be satisfied with them, both decent enough. Would've liked the Artics' but should be good.

Actually seen them in 07 brilliant to warm up for the headliner but not to headline and how can you say that Kasabian are better than the likes of Muse and (even though i'm not a fan of them) Radiohead

Seen radiohead and yeah they are good, but its kasabian's time to headline, they've got a proper frontman and the tunes as well!

Weak, both played before, no bigger now than they were when they played last time. Kings of Leon in particular were dull in 2008 (both at V and at Glasto, didn't win any friends at Reading either).

If it's true, V have let themselves down (again) and gone for easy and obvious.

(still going to be disappointed when V rolls round and I'm not there though, I know I will)

I know the headliners won't be anything special but i'm the same it's looking like my first year in 4 i wont be going and i'll still be a little guttered

+1

If thats right then I think our lot will go to Green Man or something instead. I'm beginning to think they massively over estimated the lanyards they'd need from about 2006 so they're having the same line-up every year so all they have to do is change the dates on the front.

so who does everyone actually want to headline then? someone who's massive and boring or an underdog that's gonna blow everyone away?
Kasabian and Coldplay is my vote for this year... even if you don't agree its got a good chance...

if you think radiohead are boring thats more a slate on your music taste than thom and the boys.

I agree with you with a band to be given a chance, but kasabian shouldnt even be headlining the arena neverming main stage.

i wasn't on about radiohead being boring, i was just saying everyone expects a 'big' act to be announced, thats boring!
and kasabian headlined the other stage before so dunno what you're on about there...
