BeatNik, is a 22 year old Psytrance music producer and DJ, who, despite his young age, has already been producing electronic music for over a decade.
He studied classically from the age of four and his first CD release was back in December 2005 on Streamline (Nano Records)... and has had more releases on other influential labels such as Ministry of Sound (Psy-trance euphoria 2), Liquid Records (Album: Divine Inventions) and more... this alongside the forthcoming album on Liquid Records.
His sound is a combination of many elements: From funky cheeky electro edged grooves, to full-on darker sounds and structures, to filmic edged soundscape. All this alongside a highly energetic live set!

Circus v Carnival Dress Up on Saturday Night!
Saturday night is ‘The Great Sunrise Dress-Up’ — a night of fancy-dress to ramp up the high jinx and capers! This year, in tribute to our new Circus Stage and Carnival Field, we’re hosting the grand Circus v Carnival dress-up!
Who’ll draw the biggest crowd? The sequinned babes or the crazy clowns? Whether you’re tall or short, stout or skinny, versed in the carnival arts or an average Joe (we know that nobody is really an average Joe!) there’s a character inside you somewhere! From lion tamers to burlesque dancers, whatever takes your fancy goes – but if you’re going for x-rated, leave it till after dusk so the kiddies are out of the way! There are plenty of fun activities to get involved in, including Tugs of War and other themed games… and some prizes to win as well!
Don’t worry if you didn’t get it together before the festival – there are plenty of places on site to funk up your threads throughout the festival. Go and check out the Swap Derby, the Floating Hat Collective or the ubiquitous Ladybird Project for something to razzle dazzle your Saturday night in? Otherwise, have a wander through the dress-up stalls in the carnival field, or feast your eyes upon the range of samba dresses and corset ringmaster jackets in the ethical fashion area next to the Pussyfoot Lounge.

We can now confirm that Rodney P & Skitz will be joining us on the Chai Wallahs Main Stage at Sunrise 2010!
Since his days in the seminal UK Hip Hop group London Posse, Rodney P is widely regarded as the Godfather of British Hip Hop. Inspiring a whole generation of British emcees and producers by being the first to rap in his authentic London accent and produce a home-grown Hip Hop reggae vibe that is distinctly rooted in the UK.
Rodney P & Skitz are London based Hip-Hop Producer/DJ's. They host the BBCs 1Xtra show 'Original Fever'. A sister station to radio 1 but only on digital format it features the Cream of the crop of black music DJs from all genres. This flagship Hip Hop show playing British rap alongside American and interviewing big names from both sides of the atlantic. The show gets a phenomenal response from around the whole world. They've interviewed 50 Cent, Redman and Method Man, Ludacriss, Chuck D, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Beanie Seagal, Memphis Bleek, Pharrell from the Neptunes, Nappy Roots and the Clipse to name a few.
--------------------
For those of you with a more folky sensibility, we also have those seasoned pro(-testor)s Seize the Day joining us at The Bimble Inn, foot-stomping heroes of Sunrise 2006 and 07 Tarantism, plus Breton-Fusion sounds from the ever-popular Dragonsfly (winner of 2008s Glastonbury Festival Battle of the Bands).
-----------------------
Back by popular demand, we also have John Harris of TPUC with a NEW talk....
JOHN HARRIS - Life: A New Talk by the 'Lawful Rebel'
We all have an undeniable urge to be free. Free in our thoughts, feelings, and daily affairs. It is becoming increasingly obvious to some of us that in reality whilst it appears on a basic level that we are free, the reigns of control seek to guide us, tax us and manipulate us into working ever harder, and submitting ever more to authority. How we come to this conclusion is different for us all and ultimately this is not important. What is important is what we peacefully do about it. TPUC was created as a community for people across the world to communicate with and join other men and women who feel the same. It is not about politics, it is not about religion, it is not about money. Nor is it against them. Those who wish to pursue these things are free to do so. TPUC is only concerned with two very similar principles - the truth of love, and the love of truth. The truth knows no boundaries, and so we seek only to show people actual, factual information about the world around them. The world is a complicated place, this is true, but it is built on a very simple foundation each and every time. We have discovered some very powerful information which hopefully you will see in a positive light, and perhaps you will seek to further what we know. www.tpuc.org
This talk will take place on Saturday in the Avalon Rising Talks Tent
-----
On the rather very sh*tty side, we are sad to announce that Mark Thomas will no longer be attending the festival, through no fault of his own.
On the plus side, we now have John Harris, The Kindness Offensive and Charlie Veitch - All of whom should fill in admirably with some very stirring words on society and our role in it all!
See stuff here:-

This is enormously disappointing news.
Ticket holders deserve rather more of an explanation than a single line on an efestivals post.
There is nothing on the festival website about it, and he was one of the biggest draws - for me its like Bono putting his back out - MT was the principal reason I bought a ticket.

QUOTE (lord stradmor @ May 30 2010, 10:44 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>This is enormously disappointing news.
Ticket holders deserve rather more of an explanation than a single line on an efestivals post.
There is nothing on the festival website about it, and he was one of the biggest draws - for me its like Bono putting his back out - MT was the principal reason I bought a ticket.
Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback. We announced Mark Thomas because as far as we were concerned he was booked. We were working through an agency and a third party stage manager and had been led to believe that Mark was signed and sealed and that we were free to announce his appearance as he was 'in the bag'. This was back in February of this year.
Only two weeks ago, we were suddenly informed by one of the stage managers that, in fact, Mark actually hadn't been consulted fully and was not confirmed to talk at all as he had decided to take several months out of speaking/performing in order to concentrate on his latest book.
This obviously came as a shock and, after contacting him personally through mutual friends, we were told that there was no way he was going to be able to come to the event. This is no fault of Mark's, as it turned out the agency had never actually contacted him and had failed to return the calls of the stage manager for several months. We have been told that this was an honest mistake...
Apologies if this was the reason for purchasing a ticket for you. We are as disappointed as you are. Personally, Mark was the first person on my list of things/people I wanted to see at the event this year, a rare character with the power to set a whole festival alight, mixing comedy and social activism and much much more.
We can only encourage you to come along and enjoy the million and one other things there are to enjoy, and see some of Mark's contemporaries in social activism - John Harris, spokesman for TPUC (The People's United Community) - who lit a powerful fire of change amongst everybody at our Off-Grid event in August last year, Charlie Veitch, The Kindness Offensive (TKO), Theo Simons of Seize the Day, David Shayler (ex-MI5 Agent) and many many more...alternatively, a refund is always available.
Our apologies again and, yes, we share in your feelings about the whole situation.
Yours,
Dan
