Metallica has never been anything more than people on here wanting it to happen

Soundgarden are said to be at Sonispjhere now instead

The rumoured Download headliners is now AC/DC, Them Crooked Vultures, Van Halen

Didn't andy who runs download say he wasn't booking van halen as they'd be asking for far too much money?

I think the NME says Soundgarden are playing Sonisphere but this is without seeing the actual magazine.

That was a LONG time ago, last year in fact when he had Rammstein as a headliner, since then they went to Sonisphere, I believe also he thought he would be able to have AC/DC on Sunday but they're playing Friday at Download, think he wants another old school act for Sunday, Van Halen it is it appears, as before he was viewing them as sub headliner, and he said it was too much as a sub

I think its a balanced set of headliners, and he'll probably have newer acts headline second stage Friday and Sunday

It's more who they are than what they are. Anyway loads of acts have headlined festivals after only 1 album.
