So I've been following EotR on Twitter for a while, but I noticed today that they've grouped up all the bands they're following. Makes for interesting reading and (probably!) highly unadvisable speculation about future artist announcements.
So based on looking at this list, I am now expecting to see Port O'Brien, Dinosaur Jr, Of Montreal and The Decemberists at this year's festival.

Ooooh and next announcement will be a week today!

Yeah, if that's true, you've gone and spoilt all the announcement anticipation. I can definitely see Dinosaur Jr and the Decemberists as typically EOTR headliners.

Well, no, you haven't, there's loads of main stage acts and Big Top headliners to look forward to yet, but even so... Would they have booked all three this early? (I suppose they might as well after the third headliner problems last year, actually)

dinosaur jr on the garden stage would be amazing. i think they will book headliners pretty soon. after the hard time with last years sunday headliner. i doubt very much if the hold steady were on the top of the list .

And also, don't forget, I could be very, very, VERY wrong. And most probably am.

There's still no certainty at all - all very exciting
Annoyingly we're away next week when they make the announcement (actually, quite happy to be going on holiday, not complaining about that bit!!
)
.....but may need to have a quick peep at the internet on Tues evening

I wonder if Billy Bragg will be there? Would be great to see him & Wilco do the Mermaid Avenue stuff.
Any chance of the promised (by him in 2006 admittedly) return of Badly Drawn Boy ? And returns for Mr Hawley and a first by Son Volt ?

Can't say I'd be too excited about BDB returning, if he were to do so. I loved him for those first three albums but he's become incredibly dull now, imo. By his own admission he's trying to mimic Coldplay's approach to penning bland and tedious indie-ballads and cashing in on that successful formula. How's that working for you Badly?
I actually saw him at the Ben & Jerry's Sundae thing a few years back and the contrast between the old material and new was astronomical.
But yeah, Billy Bragg is always good value, I'd have him on the bill in a shot.

Saw him on the last tour and I thought he was still great. Each to his own I guess
