I've only been to Knebworth once before and it was ruined by the fact there were 2 or 3 different golden circle type things and as I only had a bog standard ticket I had to just watched a delayed giant screen at the back by a bloody ice cream van!

Can anyone who went last year confirm what sort of barrier(s) they have for the Main stage and whether seperate wristbands were required for entrance.
I've only been to Knebworth once before and it was ruined by the fact there were 2 or 3 different golden circle type things and as I only had a bog standard ticket I had to just watched a delayed giant screen at the back by a bloody ice cream van!

There were no seperate areas requiring seperate wristbands. There was a 'second barrier', as seen at pretty much all major festivals now like Reading, Download and Glastonbury. Rather annoyingly, there was another barrier seperating the front of the crowd in two, from the middle of the front barrier back to the second barrier. I wasn't down the front for many bands on the mainstage anyway, but it looked like it killed the atmosphere a bit.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like the same one they used to have at Download.
As long as you're free to go where you want then I'm happy with that

Yeah, Soni (Apollo stage) was a T barrier. Saturn stage was open. No seperate wristbands for any stages or areas so, it was okay. Just like old Download for stages and stuff. AKA. All good.

Where's the best places to stand? Can you see both stages from one location? Or do people move about each time?

You definitely have to move around. The way the site is described, it's like one is at one end and you look round and there's the other but no. They're so slightly offset (with food trailers in the way) and Saturn is on an incline. In short, yeah. Movement required and you can't just stand and turn to see. Hope that helped in my babbly description style

I didnt reliase, these barriers arnt only to stop crushing, its to stop people crowd surfing and there not being enough security to catch them
