NME have just had a story that Feeder are playing a few intimate gigs to promote there new EP.
Personally I love Feeder and have never had the opportunity live.
anyone reckon they will play R/L?
If so were 2nd mainstage or nme headliner?

you can download their EP free of feederweb.com
big fan but no idea if they'll play, last played in 08 and were only booked 3rd down and havent got any bigger so they wouldnt be 2nd main, nme could be a goood shout though if they were to play

Well their EP is actually released under their side project called Renegades. So, you never know, Renegades may play
Either way Feeder are gonna have a busy year with all this stuff happening, so I wouldn't be surprised if they played at all. (And I bloody well hope they do!)

Nowhere near big enough to even be in top 3 anymore IMO
They played 6th down at Sonisphere last year
Im not sure what direction the band is going in any more? Have they gone more towards Waiting for Changes and Insomnia or are they Buck Rogers still? Cus if its the latter they might end up at V, its been a while.

Would love them to play, I've seen them at Leeds about 5 times over the years and they've always been amazing. I would say they're probably a mid Main Stage band nowadays. Haven't seen them with the new drummer so could be interesting.

And they're latest EP is much heavier, more Waiting for Changes style stuff, could even say Polythene era. Which I am certainly glad about XD

I just looked at their dates under the name Renegades
Birmingham Academy THREE! and it appears you can only buy tickets direct from them in a pack where you get the EP, an T shirt and ticket to the gig £35! And it states new songs only, no Feeder songs
Thats a dodgy deal really, forcing you into buying the pack! Even the Academy doesn't list the gig, if it was £8-10 a ticket only I might check them out, but at £35 they go go f**k off

Yeah it's pretty extortionate. I'm a student, I've got no money, but I'm a massive Feeder fan. I didn't even consider it.

T.V show on in the mornings on channel 4 called freshly squeezed, couple of weeks ago they were interviewing Feeder and asked them what there highlights of there music careers are and one of them said every time we play Reading Festival.

Has Mark left for good now Skunk Anansie are back together?
I used to watch Feeder a lot when they were just starting as they used to play about once a month as the free band in our local indie club in London, they were always great live and seemed really cool down to earth guys. They always go down pretty well at Reading so i'd have thought a mid afternoon main stage or towards the top in one of the tents is likely.

NME headline would be perfect for them.

They will headline Fest Repub tent or very low main stage. Im sick of seeing them to be honest. I hope they play V instead. Well past their sell by date.

Agreed. I really wanted to see them at one of these intimate shows but I ain't paying 35 quid for some stuff that I don't even want. I'll download the EP but I don't want that t shirt!
I hope the new stuff is more towards the old Polythene/Swim era direction, one of my favourite bands when I was in my teens, some of the old stuff live was brilliant at the time. Descend live = epic

Maybe you don't like them, doesn't mean they'll play that far down for no good reason. They will headline Fest Repub tent or very low main stage. Im sick of seeing them to be honest. I hope they play V instead. Well past their sell by date.
