We thought we'd check this out...... and found out that one of the organisers (and one of the Musicians in the Box that night) was Emily Barker, she of the Red Clay Halo and an EOTR 2009 veteran
The description doesn't do it justice, it's a real treat having your very own private performance - I was treated to an amazing version of Townes van Zandt's Waiting around to Die, courtesy of Frank Doody - spinetingling
It's lovely to be able to chat to the musicians as well - Frank said he finds it a totally different experience as a performer, being able to adapt your performance to the "audience"'s reaction. The performers that evening were Emily, Frank, Dom Coyote and Pepe Belmonte - all lovely people, as were their "support crew"
Sipperana and I both think it would fit right in at EOTR - I imagine it somewhere down near the Piano Stage
