Does anyone have a list of the headliners from the last 40 years?
Would be good to see who might be possibilities through the years as it looks like quite a few will be making a return either as openers or stage closers.
I reckon Thom Yorke opening the Pryamid akin to the Latitiude set last year is a stick on now that it's increasing unlikely Radiohead are going to headline.

it's ACTS from the last 40 years, not headliners from the last 40 years.

All I can say is that seeing Thom Yorke's material live would make me wee myself with excitement

99 was the first year I went, I was only 17, and to be fair watching the pyramid stage from Hole onwards wasnt as bad as it seems on paper, REM was pretty f**king epic at the time.

I've got to say that despite the cringy music Dan seemed a very nice chap.

I was there that afternoon rooted to the other stage. Had read a small bit in the program about a up and coming band called Oasis that people should check out, well the rest is history as they say. Although memories can become confused im sure the Levellers sound really suffered from the weather.. wind or rain cant quite remember.

I know it was only two years ago and my memory should be better but... did the Fratellis really sub-headline the pyramid?!

but time has taken its toll on the memory. I honestly could not give a review of the gigs, just know i was there and that we were watching (unknowingly) 5 future Pyramid Stage headliners.
Bizarrely the only band i had seen previously up till then had been Chumbawamba at a Hawkwind All Nighter at Brixton Academy.

Which I why my friends and I camped in Oxliers and lived in the Steve Hillage run Dance Tent all weekend. Apart from Underworld at 8pm on the Pyramid followed by Orbital at the Jazz headlining on the Saturday (after battling through 50,000 Manics fans piling into the Pyramid Field as the Orbital fans left for the Jazz...THE scariest moment ever at Glastonbury, very dangerous crush levels!) I dont think we visited any other stage.
Being rudely awakened by Bjorn Again all the way over on the Pyramid on Friday morning is one of the memories I still try to put far out of my mind to no avail.
The HipHop Sunday was blinking awesome! Jurassic 5...yeah baby!
