I was just wondering if anyone knows whether there's been any word of incubus playing?
They released their greatest hits album in June 09 and only toured the US...it's about time they came over!

i think it's really likely... but could be at Download. Would be nice to see them at Reading though.

Yeah, I'm trying to decide between Reading and Download. There are rumours of Alexisonfire, QOTSA and Skindred at Download so i'm beginning to be won over.

I like the sound of that download!

Hope Incubus are no where near Reading or Download. I like them on record, but live* they're dire, and a waste of a good slot.
*based on Reading 05 and Download 08, not been to their own shows, so maybe it's just festivals they "phone it in" for.

I just really want to see them
I've managed to miss every gig they've done over here in the last 5 years so I have major cravings.
I was also hoping Eagles of Death Metal might play again because they were awesome when I saw them live, but I think Jesse Hughes is doing solo stuff. I would definately settle for TCV though

Cliched I know, but haven't seen them put on a great performance since The Borderline and Bristol Fleece & Firkin back in '98.

Classic case of terrible at festivals (05 and 08) and great at their own shows - they were fantastic in Prague on the Light Grenades tour

Had the misfortune of seeing them at both of those festivals (left and stood in the cashpoint queue at Leeds 05) but got dragged to see them at the SECC a couple of years back and they were pretty damn good.

Ah maybe it's best I see them on an actual tour. I was so excited went they released monuments but they didn't come over here! And I agree about their earlier stuff. They lost a lot when Dirk left.
I still can't decide between download and Reading - Ive not been to either before and may have to get some vetran advice. Should be seeing skindred in feb in Bristol though (and fightstar which I'm embarrassingly excited about) so I'll find my fix

I hear they're supposed to be a bit dull live.
And Download might be tempting if Metallica, AC/DC, Soundgarden and QOTSA are all there, but then QOTSA were shocking when they played Leeds 2008.

I've seen them 5 times, twice awesome, one good, twice (both at Reading) a bit bland, mostly due to choice of set list.

saw em at reading in about 2002 and they were dreadful.
went to see em at download in 2008 thinking they cant be that bad again. i was wrong, they were even worse. and they didnt even play their best/arguably most famous song (certain shade of green).
i hope they go play on the end of a very short plank over a very big drop and disappear until they realise that a festival show is worth bothering about.

I hate bands that half arse their way through a set at festivals fair enough you should see them in their own right at their gigs but still you're getting paid put the effort in
