I feel like at glastonbury you can do things you wouldn't usually do...
I just wondered if there is anything people have done at glastonbury that they haven't done anywhere else? Or if and how you behave differently there? I know I do!

I wore a trilby at Glastonbury last year. Never do that normally...

It's a festival thing, not just Glastonbury.

Have my face painted and wear pretty eyelashes every day - don't do that every day at home
Wear wings (when not down the front for bands) - do that sometimes outside Glastonbury
Relax and don't feel like I'm being judged !

I don't think about work or bills or rent for a week and relax a bit more apart from that i behave pretty much the same as i do at home, apart from obviously at home i don't have bands playing in my garden and i rarely drink before 9am

I wear a red trilby at Glastonbury as it helps your mates pick you out from the crowd of straw hatted people when trying to meet up.
I sleep in a tent (something Mrs Grumpyhack isn't in to), pee in a bottle in the middle of the night (again something Mrs GH wouldn't do), enjoy Glastonbury cigarettes and walk more in a week than I would normally do in months.

I watched loads and loads of bands in just 3 days. I don't usually do that in normal everyday life.

I don't have to drive the car for nearly 6 days.
...and I can pass drunken comments with pretty much anyone before midday and not feel embarrassed or alchie.
...have Bono round for a Barbeque.
...eat things I can't even pronounce.
...walk along a railway track without fear.
...ad more...

I swapped hats with a complete stranger. Think I'll "pay it forward" and try to swap the hat I received this year.

I think over the years I've got betterv at taking the "better me" back out into the real world.
I'm now better at doing that stuff like smiling at strangers, and starting random converstaions with people I don't know, all year round, although i still do it much more at Glastonbury because the response is so much more consistently good when you're there.
One thing I really thought I'd only ever to at Glastonbury is high five a policeman, but a few weeks after Glastonbury last year, I managed to hgh five 3 in row who were policing a night club queue in Birmingham City centre!
Having said that, the stuff like pooing in a bag, you really need to leave at Glastonbury!
