I doubt the strokes are more popular than kasabian nowadays, and kasabian will only ever headline now T have offered them the opportunity.

Neil said Kasabian aren't headling TITP, he said they're on last but one as co-headliners.
To be honest the above looks pretty realistic to me, especially if they get a strong undercard

If this is true (which I doubt) that's me in the tents at the end of each night then! Might watch Soundgarden for old times sake (Although I am guessing they will be at Hard Rock Calling supporting Pearl Jam so won't need to) Hope there's some good headliners in the tents.

rivalschools is right, it'll always sell out. Even though that's such a terrible line up. Paramore couldn't even headline the NME tent, let alone 2nd mainstage. Not to mention soundgarden aren't even close to being big enough for the main stage.
There's no way this is true. But... ahhh.

Paramore just had a number one album and sold out an arena tour over here.
How the f**k could they not headline the NME tent? Of course they could, and IMO they're big enough to be placed as second headliners, well they could get away with it anyway. But I would expect someone between them like Lost prophets. But whack Weezer and Sum 41 under Paramore and that could be likely

People won't take a telling eh?
Soundgarden are no way big enough.

What is a sub?
If The Strokes are playing crap will they get booted off and substituted with Kasabian?

Soundgarden's return would probably be as successful as The Smashing Pumpkins' - if anything, probably better. The reunion of The Smashing Pumpkins was a bit over thought. They played a tour to near half-empty arenas, I went to one of the gigs and I'd never seen an arena that quiet before. The audience didn't seem as interested as you would imagine they should have been either.
If The Smashing Pumpkins can do it, Soundgarden definitely can.
I doubt The Strokes would be placed above Kasabian these days though. Kasabian have been saying since last year that they won't play a festival unless they're headlining it (I imagine they'd settle for being "co-headliners" though) and I think they're bigger at the minute.
Paramore would definitely play second, or headline the NME tent.

Soundgardens popularity must have increased somewhat since I watched them struggle to sell out a 2000 capacity venue in 1996.
If so I apologize. I had no idea they had went under such a revival.
