Bloc Party played 2 club topurs and sold them out straight away, like within 10 minutes

Franz couldn't sell out half the tour.

You have to face it UK indie bands they start strong get to headlining status or near enough and then fall and stay down, happens to them all

Supergrass
Manics
Travis
The Charlatans
Kula Shaker
Dodgy
Lightning Seeds
Ash

I could go on, theres been exceptions Blur and Oasis
The Verve would have probably fallen too if they hadn't split and got back together.
Same goes for Pulp, they were already falling before they split
bout time ash came back,3 or 4 years since last appearance and theyve got those 26 singles released thoughout the year.

Franz could probably be 2nd top, but thats not to say that they should be. The Reading and Leeds fests are slowly getting worse IMO, too many bands in positions they don't deserve to be in.

I would be ok with green day headlining as long as they signed a contract not to play anything off those terrible last 2 albums.
