So, they are here for Green Man in August. Is that too late to expect them to play Glastonbury?I'm really hoping they play, was sure they were going to last year and was actually gutted they didn't.
Never seen them, hope they clash with U2

I hope so too. I'd love to see The FLips (missed out on seeing them in Manchester this year
).

Surely they would be a Pyramid Stage act if they did play?

The embryonic tour was utterly wonderful. The london gigs being the best I have seen them perform in aaages.
I pray every night before I go to bed that they play glastonbury. I am convinced they will.
They deserve to headline the pyramid on the saturday but if not I can see them second top on the sunday.
Sensational band at the hieght of their powers, tailor made for glasto's 40th birthday

funny, I'm watching on youtube their performance from 2003 and thinking how awesome they would be this year.
Headlining the other stage opposite U2 would be perfect

I talked to Wayne for a little while at their halloween parade in Oklahoma City in October. He said they plan on playing some festivals next year but not which ones.
I will be going to the Flaming Lips show in Oklahoma City on New Years, they are gonna play all of "Dark Side of The Moon" once midnight hits. I can't wait.
This is me and Wayne.

I am incredibly jealous of you right now.
I've never been to one of their NYE shows but they always look tremendous.
Is it going to be a 3 hour set then this year I wonder or will they trim back some of their own songs to play Dark Side?
I wonder who is going to sing great gig in the sky?? Gotta be steven!

As of now I am not sure how long the show will be, I know they are supposed to play Dark Side of The Moon After midnight with Star Death and White Dwarf which is Wayne's nephews band. They played at the Halloween parade and put on a damn good show. I can't really think of a funner band to see for New Years.
This will be third time I have seen the Lips,
the first time was with Beck on the Sea Change tour and they were Beck's band, it was awesome.
The other time was just for a little while at Bonnaroo 2007, I missed their spaceship landing which I totally regret.
I am hoping they play Bonnaroo again which is our best festival in the US, it's half as many people as Glastonbury. I have been the past 3 years but may skip since Glasto is priority.

Yesh it was the March, I was considering going and then my friends in Houston couldn't make it so I went just to see what it was all about. Definitely an interesting experience, I just wish I had someone else to go with. I didnt have anything to do that day so I went and took pics and met Wayne. I am not a good makeup artist though, mine was joker inspired.
My March of Flaming Skeletons Photo Album
Heres a couple videos.
I tend to post a lot of media and take lots of photos and videos from festivals and shows.

I was there for the spaceship landing in Bonnaroo '07. it's something that would only work well in the darkness obviously, and that would mean an Other Stage headline slot, if that stage was even big enought to handle it. Plus, there was a huge gap before the FLips came on stage at Bonnroo to set that all up which they wouldn't have at Glasto.
Bonnarroo is indeed the best US festy, but still a second or third division side compared to Glasto.

The UFO wont come to Europe as it is too hard/costly to transport supposedly.
It was much better this tour anyway when the band emerged from a lady's foo-foo

Don't be silly. its' a f'in UFO... It just lifts up and flies itself over!!!
only hitch is finding enough space to land and park nr and then on the Other Stage after it makes it across the Atlantic!

Surprised (pleasantly) that Green Man have managed to get the FlamingLips. Quite a coup for my favourite little festival.
Yeah, would be great if they played Glastonbury too.
