Good pics here, just wondering if any of you (more pro) photographers out there can do tilt-shift photography? If so, would it be possible at glasto?

Some examples here... http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/11/16/beautiful-examples-of-tilt-shift-photography/

p.s, this is the effect used in Thom Yorkes Harrowdown Hill video

A major part of the challenge is getting suitable "from the perspective of a human looking at a scale model" not-quite-bird's-eye-views. The ribbon tower might provide a good perspective.

Maybe the technique has jumped the shark, with its use in the pre-song links in this year's Eurovision Song Contest coverage!

You don't need to be a pro by any means; you can fake the effect in Photoshop or The GIMP. Google for tutorials.

A few of mine from last year processed with the fake tilt-shift method:

Those and a couple others are at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/j_hunt/sets/72157626574348619/

First few are great, especially the third one. For a 'faked' effort as well it's ace!

The latter pictures don't work at all - putting a blur effect randomly onto just any picture doesn't work; it needs to be high and wide perspective for the 'model effect'.

Thanks for your criticism, both positive and otherwise. Much appreciated.

I do understand the process and which scenes make better candidate photos. I kind of like what it did to Jim's wooden mushrooms in Croissant Neuf. Just a bit of fun though.
