I'm half cut on whisky right now. Can't beat a good dram but can I get one at glasto? It sounds like you can get everything else.

Whisky stand is a genius idea. Save carrying a hip flask.
Well, actually it wouldn't at all but would be good for variety of choice.

A hipflask full of Jamesons at Thimbleberry in September a couple of years back was a life saver - it can get a tad nippy up there.

Actually, the process of distilling fermented grain mash to make a highly potent alcoholic drink was invented by the Chinese over 100 years before anyone in Europe. However, they thought it too rough and unrefined and ditched the idea in favour of sake, which was considered much smoother.

As a keen afficionado of a good single malt, I think this would be the single best idea in the history of mankind.
That's right - f**k you, the motor vehicle!

HIP Flask!! Pah, humbug.
Get yourself one of those 1 litre metal water bottles. I had one last year. Of course to fill it I had to buy 2 75cl bottles of Jamesons . Still I had fun drinking the half litre before Glasto.
Next year we should have a "Serious Spirits" meeting at the Red flag. Every one bring a hip flask of their favourite tipple, and some shot glasses. There will be plenty beer at hand to wash it down between mouthfuls. I'll bring a packet of cheesey whatsits!

As a complete piss head, ale fan and whisky fan I completely concur with this. Let's do it people. Could possibly be a joint whisky and ale day on the Thursday real ale pub crawl. (see other thread).

Not so easy to fit in your pocket, plus at Thimbleberry you're never more than 5 minutes walk from your tent for a top up.
