It's still talent even if you don't like it;
and maybe it is a bit contrived and the record label have been using gimmicks...but doesn't everyone? if you want to avoid that go see a gig in your local pub instead
Pop, fun at a festival....look at Gaga, she brought in a huge crowd (you don't have to be there if you don't want to) She can sing, she can dance:
It's called Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts...not Glastonbury Festival of Rock Music Purely for snobs who refuse to acknowledge that anything else might be talent.
Number 1: I go to glastonbury every single f**king year. I'm not a snob. I RESPECT that other people may have different tastes to me, therefore respect that some people may want to see Lady GaGa. Whatever floats your boat as they say. Yes she may have talent, but she really just isn't my thing.
Number 2: I also respect that you may have enjoyed her set. Which is good. I am very glad for you. But again, she isn't my thing. I really enjoyed seeing Badly Drawn Boy, who you may absolutely dispise, but if you had respect then you would respect that I had a good time seeing one of my childhood heroes as I respected you seeing GaGa.
Number 3: Don't be so toucy and sensitive. So what if I think pop music has gone downhill? What does it matter to you? This is a public internet forum after all, people are gonna post stuff you don't like. If everyone had the same opinion on things then the world would be a very boring place. I was merely stating of how much on how I thought what a streaming pile of shite chart music is today, you may think differently, which is absolutely fair enough.
I hope you have taken in what I said and on the same token I apologise if I have offended.
