Travelling down from Newcastle. Probably get a cheap travelodge near Dover before and after I get the ferry across.

Was just reading on Wikipedia (I know it's not a great source) but it says that the site will be moved to Citadelle Vauban, capacity increased to 40,000 and there will be 2 stages.
And I'm buying my tickets tomorrow

After 5 wonderful editions of the Grand d'Arras, Main Square Festival takes this year to propose new areas for public reception conditions and listening ever more exceptional. But never fear, if the Grand has charm, you can not leave you overwhelmed by the majesty of this new place!
Following the departure this year of the 601st regiment of traffic, Live Nation Festivals France wished to participate, in partnership with the Urban Community of Arras, the splendid site of the Citadel of Arras. Built in the seventeenth century to plans by Vauban, it has been classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. The pentagon, a fine example of military architecture of the period of the Sun King, is nestled in a verdant park of 40 hectares in the city. Covering about 10 hectares, the site offers magnificent opportunities for all festival goers.
Thus, this space will provide them finally a second scene and maximize comfort with adequate recreational areas. The festival will also propose a new campground close to the walled within walking distance to the festival. Under these conditions, the 2010 edition of the Main Square Festival is preparing once again to mark the spirits

The Cidadel is to the south-west of Arras, and on Google Earth it looks rather nice. Waiting for funds to transfer to purchase my tickets.

I think they'll do stages at both ends of the Citadel...similar to Sonisphere at Knebworth. That means no clashes.
EDIT: Tickets finally bought. Just need to buy Camping tickets next payday and sort hotels/ferries.

Camp for the night after Pearl Jam (8euro) then see what the train from Arras to Paris is like and Eurostar it? Unless you fancy driving. That's what I'm doing

Basically, announcement was due today but they've had to push it back to next week. Can't wait!
