I'm currently doing some testing for eFestivals radio, which is going to relaunch in the new year in a much better way that it was managed before.
Anyway, if you'd like to tune in, you just need to point their computer's media player (winamp, iTunes, Window's Media Player, Quicktime, RealPlayer) at this address:-
http://radio.efestivals.co.uk:8000
(in winamp, you do "File -> Play URL", then enter the URL above)
today's shows are:-
10am till 11am: V Festival 2009
11am till 12:00: Reading/Leeds Festival 2009
12:00 till 3pm: Glastonbury Festival 2009
(more shows will very probably be added for today a bit later)
Each show plays tunes from a variety of acts from that festival.

It's currently playing random tunes from my music library - don't worry, it's not the same three tunes on loop.
In a while I might load in another festival playlist of some kind, but I want to try and get other aspects sorted if I can so actual playlists isn't a priority at the moment.
Anyway, feel free to tune in if you like. There might be the occasional dodgy tune, but certainly no worse than any radio station.

Dodgy is fine BTW ... just so long as it's of the Staying Out For The Summer variety rather than some naff piece of cheese from one or other of the Minogues or similar of course

right, it's now running again, all set-up on a nice shiny new PC.
It's running 24/7, so feel free to tune in. If it's doing what it's meant to, it should be playing a Jazzworld-heavy playlist of bands from Glastonbury 2009 .... if it's not doing what it should be, it'll revert to playing random songs from the music library.

When I click I get a page saying the server is down.

It died with the error message "ICY 401: Service Unavailable" (using Winamp V5.56) at just before 2000 hours unfortunately
or at least that's what I had come up here when it suddenly stopped after playing for a good hour or so this evening anyway. Mr.Server will no doubt be on the receiving end of an appropriately targeted boot, big stick or similar implementsome 'encouragement' in the morning ! BTW, you don't click on the linky, that usually just takes you to a status page. What you need to do when it's back up and running again is open Winamp, Windoze Media Player or some other suitable media player, find the option to "Play URL" or "Open URL" and then enter http://radio.efestivals.co.uk:8000 as the URL to Play/Open.

yep, it died.
Anyway, it's now back, and hopefully it won't keep messing up.
