ok so new album should be out next year as ian montone (their manager) said it should.
Now i don't know if they will tour it. Meg is now married and maybe won't want to tour any more plus Jacks third band The dead weather have nearly finished a second album.
I really hope they come back as i've only seen them twice and they are my fave band ever.
My point is i think they should be on at glasto, maybe a other stage headline.

As you were at both Glasto 2005 and Wireless 2007 I take it these are the places you've seen the White Stripes? Waaytogo on seeing your favourite band ever...
Considering they headlined the Pyramid in 2005 then headlining the Other stage would be a retrograde step. Or an admission that 2005's headliners weren't the biggest bands around (they had Coldplay FFS) and that bigger bands will be on offer in 2010.

Ino it would be seen as a step down but with all this 40th year stuff going around i think alot of big bands will be playing other stage as well as loads of big bands on pyramid.
I'd prefer stripes to be on other stage anyway due to the fact the pyramids sound system has been rubbish last few years.

The sound went a bit on the righthand repeater for blur...we moved across to the left and it was much better...but all in all, it was substantially better than for the killers in '07! (though I didn't watch more than 1 song of their set, was passing through and thought it a bit weird that I could hear people singing but not the band!)...
Edit: Oh, and the sound and the John Peel was way better last year, don't know what they changed, must've been a new rig for the enlarged tent, but a big improvement on previous years...
