his glastonbury sets have become legendary but any chance he will be there in 2010
his appearances have been spaced out but i do hope he's there, massive hero of mine and i'm yet to see him live yet
other stage headliner perhaps, or sun coming down on the pyramid listening to wild wood, would be bliss

God no, please don't let this happen. One of the biggest disappointments live, ever! He is an awesome guitarist and I love his music but, he is as dull as dish water live. Saw him on the Pyramid stage a couple of years back (2007 I think!) and I was bored shitless!

Weller is probbly my all time favourite artist from The Jam to present stuff. He's a genius and his music is brilliant. I've only managed to get to see him live once and whilst the performance was great, it was just BEFORE he released 22 Dreams and hence I didn't know half the songs. And he only played 1 Jam song. Would love to see a set of his again.
That said I saw him at Doncaster Dome which is a small and quite intimate venue which I quite like. On a bigger stage or arena it may lack a certain something.

Just waiting for the 'Paul Weller is a God' post and how he should headline the Pyramid Sunday night to close the fest.

He played Guilfest a few years ago (was it 2007? I can't remember) and it was superb, packed full of Jam numbers too (tho the few tracks he played of recent stuff was pretty dull). But I guess that was a little special for him as it was as close to a hometown show he gets to play.

I'm sure the last time he played he vowed never to return ,unless they paved it over.

Didn't he moan about it afterwards as well, something about mud hating etc. I'd rather go and watch a Jam tribute band now than shell out to watch Weller's ego strutting around stage.God no, please don't let this happen. I saw Weller play with The Jam in 1982, and they were awesome. I was so excited to go and watch him play glasto in 2007. OMG he was terrible, bloody boring, he didn't want to there. Biggest let down ever.

I'll have to look up a set-list

It doesn't actually mention many Jam tracks, tho I'm sure he played more than are mentioned.

I'm sure he didnt
Thought he was technically good at Guilfest but much preferred the energy of From the Jam
Loved that set

He's started to relent on playing hardly any Jam stuff. Everytime ive seen him he's played more and more.
Im suprised he wasn't good in 2007 because everytime ive seen him he's been brilliant (though it's always been in small-ish arenas so maybe that's it?)
Id love to see him again.

Well when I saw him that wasn't entertainment.
See what I did there?
