I wonder if they will have a walkway to a B stage. Bono always likes to get into the crowd to minimise the gap between them and the crowd.

I wonder if they will have a circle runway that allows people inside.theve done this ever since the elevation tour.

i think it's gonna be pretty spectacular whatever it is! Looks like they're wanting to pull out a great Glasto performance for us all!
Sooo looking forward to it and I'm only a U2 "hits" fan!

Im fully expecting something like this walkway, perhaps not circular, maybe just going staight to the back of the pit.

Im sure they'll also have a screen(s) of some sort. And a f**k off giant sized lemon they walk out of when, note the word "when", they play Discotheque!

I predict some decent screen arrangement, a runway for the band to get close to the fans, and a big mirror ball for the With or Without you or Moment of Surrender finale!

I think they'll definitely play the Pyramid Stage as the Pyramid Stage. Nothing that takes away from that, rather trying to extend it. Make it 'bigger', not different.
I would guess any staging extensions would only be to bridge the gap between stage and crowd (it is huge to a degree that probably does annoy a lot of acts up there) but I'm not sure about ramps/b-stage. I'm sure that's what they'd like - and it's pretty quick and easy to erect/dismantle - but in practice it might not really work at Glastonbury. It's not a p*** throwing, agro, challenging type of place, but Bono wandering out into the middle of the crowd might be a temptation too strong for many.
Lighting tricks definitely. Extra rigs off the stage, for sure. Maybe even one halfway down the field. Can see them maybe using the covering of the Pyramid as a sort-of canvas for lighting/projections. Can't really see anything else, no dramatic props and whatnot. I'm sure they'll have a fancy pants backdrop/video screen on the stage, but that's certainly nothing unique.

35 years ago? I had no idea he was such a good talent spotter!
Where's that quote from, btw?

Surely if it was their own stage, we would have seen it starting to get built on webcam! I will go for a walkway as suggested above!

And we all believe that ME is going to watch Primal Scream and not be present for U2, don't we?!! Isn't the Daily Star the written-by-children version of The Sun, anyway?

Has anyone else found themselves listening almost exclusively to U2 recently? I'm not even skipping the ones I normally do (because I feel I've heard them too much) but just playing and playing a rotation of about 65 songs. I've even made a playlist in my itunes of the entire of the latest Anaheim set, including covers where I have them!!! Sad, isn't it? I'm not stopping, though!
