Could I be the first person ever to have been attacked by a sleeping bag???

At Leeds ,I managed to mutilate my hooter by pulling the zip of my sleeping bag against my face

Red stuff all over the place and not a pretty sight.Made me look dead hard though.!!!

Duvet for me in future. :P

:P Had a similar problem. Just invested in blinds. Always get a nice Christmas card from the neighbours though!   :P

Back on topic - duvet, airbed and foil blanket for emergency cold nights for me this time I think. Last couple of festivals I have used one of those mummy shaped bags (Egyptian mummy, not some Oedipal kind of thing) and have found it a little restricting. The pod thingy looks a lot more roomy though. Nice.
sounds good, but a duvet and airbed, bit  of a hassle to lug there with everything else?

il prob be catching the train, so don't really want to take too much, need room for alcohol too obviously

:P Allcohol is a priority, I agree.

Duvets come handily vacuum packed.  If you buy a cheap new one and leave it in its packaging it doesnt take up much more room than a standard sleeping bag. The (deflated) airbed wraps nicely round my bottles (plastic) of vodka in my backpack and the foil blanket wads up small enough to go in a pocket. Still enough room in the backpack for a change of clothes and a few packs of baby wipes.

Sorted.

If this year was anything to go by, I'm so pissed/wasted/knackered when I get back to the tent that I'd sleep on a bed of broken glass.  2 mornings I woke up fully dressed laid half on the floor, half on the camping mat.  Managed to get my shoes off though so that's a plus.

These look brilliant! Will have to invest, although worried that it won't pack small enough, or i'll be cold, or the fact it's Gelert means it won't last long.

Anyone had a Gelert sleeping bag before, and are they any good?

I've got a Gelert mummy bag at the moment, bought at Easter this year - has survived three festivals and two camping holidays this year with no signs of wear and tear, is warm and pretty comfortable. Only complaint about it is the flap of material that covers the zip on the inside is padded and gets stuck in the zip unless you take care to pull it away as you zip it up.
