It's my second Glasto next year, 2009 being my 1st. What did all you first timers learn in 2009 that you will be doing next year? For me it's not taking so many clothes, took far too many which just took up valuable alcohol space!

Thought I would give it another bash, don't think I managed to see it all last time!

I'm not taking anywhere near the amount of stuff I took this year, lots of weight + a massive walk to the tent = bad times.

I'm also going to my 2nd Glastonbury, my first was in 2007. This year I'm going to make sure i have a set of clothes that I keep spare all weekend for the journey home. Going home in my dirty clothes was horrendously uncomfortable and it took a LOT of arguing with a coach driver to even let me on one of the coaches. So clean clothes for the journey home is what I plan to do differently this time!

Take as little as possible is the only thing. Just enjoy it. The best feeling ever is being on site the first time, the second best is seeing it all again. Spine-tingling!

Me to. First time 09 in a motorhome - next year going to take a tent and experience a bit more. I am a wee bit worried though cos I am not exactly a teenager anymore and have never camped before. Am i too old and used to my comforts? Will I be able to rough it? The upside is I wont have to stress about the security deposit and the motorhome and just relax.

You will be fine, im no spring chicken anymore and I loved the camping. I think the fact that I was so tired and maybe a little drunk I had no trouble sleeping. Only annoying thing is the tent was like a sauna in the mornings by 8am.

Visit the areas I didn't get to this year, ie the Park and Kids Field.
Stick around Shangri La until late night and try not to go to bed early
Camp in a different place, perhaps Pennards or Oxylers, somewhere closer to the Green Fields, where I want to spend more time. I was in Michael's Mead this year, which was great, but quite a trek to the other side of the site.
Experience Leftfield if it is truly coming back

2. Spend more time at the latenight areas.
3. There is rarely a need to wait for very long to get up front for a favorite act, so sitting through a few acts is unnecessary except at the Pyramid.
14. Arrive as early as possible.
