Levellers had a German date over Glasto weekend. We've attempted to find out where this leaves them for Glastonbury but without getting any solid info.

I've been keeping an eye on their tour dates page for ages and they've had a couple of gigs scheduled in over Glasto weekend for quite a while now: Friday in Belgium and Saturday an acoustic set in Germany. So it's kinda looking like a maybe Sunday slot I guess  ... or just an early jobbie somewhere small :P like in 2008 when they played Leftfield on the Thursday.   When I saw them locally in November, couldn't get any info other than a kinda knowing smile and an "I couldn't possibly say" stylee comment !  Pyramid Sunday ... hopefully :P

Exactly the response I got when I asked Mark about a Glasto appearance in the O'Neils next to Shepherds Bush end of last year - but TBH I see a Sunday slot as less probable for them, plus coming back from Europe for it. With their own festi near Exeter, they are hardly begging for a Glasto apearance, and have a bit of a love / hate relationship with Eavis going back to his refusing travellers entry to the festi again in '92. Plus they have announced a couple of other festi appearances this summer. Hmm - reckon I'd not bet on it any longer myself, but hope I'm proven wrong.
