Glade 2010 - whats the deal with 16 - 17 year olds?

Hey

me and my mates are wanting to avoid the whole newquay shit this year and go festivalling  :P .....
Glade 2010 is on our list but on this site (e-festivals) it says something about 16 - 17 year olds not being allowed???!  :P
wtf what does this mean?? looks like a safe as f**k festival

It means those aged 16 or 17 are not allowed - no idea why but it's part of the terms and conditions

The entry conditions on the old site in Berkshire ('04 to '08) were under-13's only if accompanied by an adult and no 13 to 17's under any circumstances. I'd always been under the impression it was a condition impose by that particular site (Wasing estate) rather than the Glade organisers and was to do with alcohol licensing.

This year at Matterley there were no age restrictions regarding teenagers so I don't know why it's changed.  It could possibly be a condition imposed by the police but it's a bit early for that - the license hearing is months away.

I was surprised when I saw it on this site today so I checked the Glade website but as usual at this time of year it's as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

just been on the website - still a lot missing but it says 16 and above are allowed in :P
no idea on prices yet though, i dont really want to pay £145
