The Stag & Dagger festival had some of the acts bound for Primavera playing.
Titus Andronicus were playing and they were excellent - four songs from their Glasgow set can be found here:
Titus Andronicus live
Following them were the hotly tipped Sleigh Bells who were chaotic but exciting!
Sleigh Bells live
Sadly both of these acts are clashing with a major name (think its Wilco and Pavement) so you may not get the chance to see them but if you don't like the major acts, these two acts are definitely well worth checking out.

Had an absolutely blinding time, probably even better than last year. Highs and lows as follows:
Highs
Superchunk - What a mighty set, I pogo'd solidly throught. Utterly brilliant.
Les Savy Fav - Insanity, great stuff
Condo F*cks - Garage-tastic
Real Estate - liking the new songs, sounding like The Feelies
Also enjoyed The Clean & Surfer Blood, Pavement were great in parts
Lows
4 Euros a pint
No wine

Had a fantastic time too, great people, great atmosphere, great festival
Highs
Pavement (the main reason for going)
Beach House (though it was packed)
Real Estate, was surprised at how much new material they played, all good though
Pixies
Orbital
Lows
4 Euros a pint (5 if I was feeling lazy and flagged down one of the mobile beer sellers)
Making the mistake of nipping behind some bushes for a quick pee only to find myself in pool of piss (I only have myself to blame...)
Miss hearing that Gary Oldman was dead (Gary Colman RIP) and spreading the rumour around the site (my apologies to Mr Oldman)
Having to remember, and not lose my Primavera card (what was the point of that??)
Will definetly be going next year, now for Glastonbury

had a great time as well, my highlights were low in the auditorium and the fxxk buttons. lowlight: missing the books because of change of time and the trains in france who did not run on wednesday. we had to take the bus, a 18 hours trip... now recovering till next one in 3 weeks... :-)

Well, how good was that?
The best bits for us were The Fall's unexpectedly blinding set on Thursday (wasn't sure what to expect here) and all of Saturday (which had a great atmosphere - probably because there was so much dancing going on!
)
The lows were the huge queues we experienced for wristband collection and drinks collection on the first night (although maybe stupid us for going at 7pm!
); the lack of loos; and the uncomfortable crush to see The Pixies (which wasn't helped by the stupid wazzuck in front of us, who insisted on filming almost the entire thing with a camera raised above his head, stopping those of us behind him from seeing the stage properly for a lot of this time
).
But, overall, we had a great time, and the great atmosphere on Saturday more than made up for the problems we had at The Pixies
According to La Vanguardia, more than 100,000 people attended the festival, although they're still counting - and was totally unexpected - which might explain the situation at The Pixies and also with the loos and the queues.
We'll def be back to this festival!

Things I learnt this weekend:
The Spanish transport system is very unreliable.
San Miguel is not the best beer company to use for a music festival
Spanish girls don’t like getting their boobs out on festival screens
Being able to cook isn’t a requirement for working in a Barcelona restaurant.
The Barcelona FC stadium tour is shit.
Tim Harrington is a god.
Primavera Sound 2010 was beyond amazing.
Things I’ll never understand:
That entry card.

This is what we thought as well - and also whether they leave before 3am! What we couldn't figure out was why they asked you to keep it to enjoy Primavera all year round - are you supposed to frame it as a souvenir?

I'm with you on San Miguel and the entry card, and glad I didn't spend 17 euros on the Nou Camp tour after reading your comment.
You must have had bad luck with transport and food (or I had good luck): I had no problems getting around Barca, other than a wait to get back to Placa Catalunya after the fest (and that was really our fault for not realising the Metro would be closed, and so having to spend a long time queuing).
The food in Barca is pretty good IMO. The one really bad meal we had was in a very touristy place near the Picasso Museum. We had good luck in finding decent places in sidestreets round the Raval or Barrio Gotic - following my usual approach of looking for places without signs in English, and with lots of locals eating.

My first time, and we will definitely be back
Highs:
The Pixies
Orbital
The Clean
Being right up front for the New Pornographers
Mission of Burma
Surfer Blood
Wilco as always
Pet Shop Boys audio-visual extravaganza
The sound quality
Being able to get a beer quickly
The crowd: nearly everyone seemed friendly and relaxed, good mix of people from all over
The random woman who gave me a beer during Orbital
Recommendations in this thread about transport and wristbands and the auditorium. Helped a lot when I was trying to work out what was going on. Thanks to everyone who posted
Lows:
Crowds during Pixies, and generally - the site could have used more stewards, I think
Queues for food
4 euros per beer
The Slits
Queue for wristbands - even at noon it took us a good 30 minutes, but we were pleased when we came back at 7 and saw even longer queues.
The idiots slam-dancing during Wire and deliberately barging into other people, even though everyone was giving them plenty of room.

PS10 was amazing! it's my 2nd year in Primavera and it was so much more than PS09. The only lows I find are:
1. Panda Bear. that show didn't live up to our expectations, and it's a shame because I could be somewhere in the first 2-4 lines in the Pixies show if I didn't go to Panda Bear, instead of being somewhere in line 20ish~.
2. Moderat. They are not to blame, but something happened to the sound in Vice stage after their first song and it ruined their show.
3. "There is wait so long.. (so long, so long).". Huge queues at the Wichita Showcase, Apolo club, 26.6, and also huge queues to the auditorium shows.
4. Too many people? especially in Friday.
Other than that, it was really awesome.
Some of our highlights include: Matt & Kim, Tortoise, Japandroids, Titus Andronicus, Pixies of course, Spoon, Orbital, The Bloody Beetroots; and many, many more.
See ya next year!
