...don't be such a bloody drama queen...there's hundred's of other things to see and do. If you'd really consider giving your ticket back because you don't like one of the headliners then I really don't know what to say....For the record, a U2 greatest hits set would blow the roof off the pyramid. peace
edit:....sorry meant to quote the rabbit exorcist there.!

All the tickets are pretty much sold though - so the place won't be full of U2 fans! They will need to impress a field of casual observers - which I think they probably can, even if I'm not one of them.

Some truly insane advice here - don't go near the stage when they're playing?
Now, I know that's crazy and 'out there', but I think it may solve your problem. Another thing - don't buy any of their records in the build up? Don't watch them when they come on tv? Don't listen to them on the radio?
This world is plenty big enough for you and U2 to both co-exist without armegeddon occurring.
They won't play anyway, so the event of you committing mass murder may luckily be avoided.

U2 at Glasto will be mega. 80K people in that Pyramid field. Haters need to recognise.

Is that a typo? Shouldn't that read 80 people? It'll be the biggest mass dispersal from the main stage since 1997 when it was announced that Ash would play again.

that stupid little git wizard would probably demand 10 million quid and his favourite hat before he would play..and he wouldnt pay any tax on it obviously.

edited to say that anyone who thinks that U2 wouldn't be an awesome headliner can frankly kiss my scrotum! (how's that for being juvenile Langdale?

Why does it always RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN ON MEEEE
As for U2, don't see what the problem with them headlining is considering they're probably the biggest band in the world at the moment....and for the last 20 years. They've got a huge amount of hits aswell and I'm sure they'd storm it.
Personally I fall in and out of love with them regularly so i'm not sure if i'd be watching.

People on these boards have long memories so expect to be held to that if it happens.
This news certainly doesn't rule them out (which seems to make it slightly more likely that it might happen)
I'd be pleased, they're unquestionably the biggest British Isles rock band of the last 20 years.
Cue people questioning the unquestionable...

I always feel the best example is Skunk Anansie. Must say I'd be disappointed if they rocked up as Pyramid Headliners this year!

If you took U2 and restrained them to the regular Pyramid stage with no gimmicks or nonsense, so that they had to use the SONGS for propulsion....I think you could really have something amazing.
And Im not even really a big fan.
