After watching x factor it started me wondering how many if any ex reality music tv show artists have appeared as Glasto. Obviously Will Young has played but have any others, was thinking maybe Lemar.
Imagine Jon & Edward playing somwhere next year

Pretty sure Lemar hasn't. Can;t think of any that have, but then again am kinda glad that I can;t think of many if you see what i mean.
Wouldn;t surprise me if a bit part reality player has ended up playing a smaller stage somewhere.

Speaking of reality TV people, this year as I was walking through Dance Village I saw that Pete (tourettes guy) from Big Brother from a couple of years ago dancing on top of one of the giant words by the Pussy Parlour. Was a bit bizarre.

Anyone in their right mind would send them and their Gary Rhodes inspired hair packing!
Has Michelle Mcmanus graced the Glasto stage with her presence? Or maybe the Steve bloke from X factor 1?

John and Edward make me laugh! At least everyone knows who they are, they are terrible but funny, I think they should go the kids performers route like Ant and Dec, think they'll be around for a while.
There should definitely be a slot for Rhydian, doing some full on opera. And Paul Potts.

ok, well, people who watch X factor know who they are! They seem to provoke strong opinions in peeps who have seen them, that's what I meant - they are memorable.

I think people should see it for what it is. It's not a music show its an entertainment show

True - & it's a money-making media show at that. But an entertaining one nonetheless if taken with the proverbial pinch.

But it was muddy though.....

I would sincerely love to see Girls Aloud sub-headline one day.

I'd like to think Eavis would distance himself from anything to do with Cowell and his cronies, whose greatest ability seems to be to exploit others for his own benefit, maximising their earnings over a short period of time before moving onto the next willing victim. I see no musical value in the acts he manages, their music range seems to be confined to power balladry and sacherine pop, and in a great number of instances repackaging and marketing something that already existed to people's who music knowledge is - at best - limited.
However, if he and the judges were to be crucified at the various points of the compass around the superfence as a warning, then I'd be up for it.

It's exactly that in the early stages.
By the time you're down to the final 12, they're mostly extraordinarily good performers.
Yeah, they're usually singing MOR dross, but they do it well.
Jamie the afro bloke is an incredible performer.

It's not a program I would normally watch even if I happen to be in on a Saturday night but from my experience of it "extraordinarily good performers" is being somewhat generous. They obviously have some vocal talent but then again so do most of Butlins Redcoats. Quite often the performances are pretty flat with the contestants missing the mark.
I don't like the program:
a ) because of the reason I've already stated in the post before.
b ) because I can feel my brain turning to mush whilst watching it.
c ) because there's normally a decent documentary on BBC2 around the same time.
