I'm pretty sure he's gonna be at Glastonbury next year so who cares if he's naff or not? He'll get a huge crowd no matter what.

They still going? It must be 12 or 13 years ago when last saw them. Great live though. Teenage Sensation is an excellent track.

i don't understand how anyone can really compare a pop artists with a hip hop artist i like both dizzee and credit to the nation who despite claims in here isn't all that unheard of at all.
when i hear credit to the nation the lastt hing that goes through my head is any kind of comparison with dizzee rascal, perhaps maybe because they both black and involved in similar genres but still it seems odd to me to compare the two.
but he is great for eiltists tits who want to be seen to be into something obscure and to use as ammunition when dismissing anything popular and succesful.
for me dizzee has takena page out of Jay Z's book and has the knack for making albums that tow the line perfectly between art and entertainment is that he has tracks that keep the purists and pop fans happy, and can also get the balance right for being both credible and commercially successful, but most of all the guy knows how to control a crowd and get people going at that his is in a class of his own!

Just saw Dizzy in the Electric proms and he used Nirvana teen Spirit. Also heard an interview where he thought it was his idea!
MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm Thats the reason for the comparrison!

I have a lot of time for both acts - but i do not see how CTTN is 'more relevant' than Dizzee. Relevant to who? All mentions of CTTN on here refer to preformances and songs from mid to late 90's......music with a hiphop / urban flavour is far more mainstream these days and preformers now make tracks to cater to this mainstream market.
Both acts are directed to very different audiences, CTTN would be deemed as an act concerned with making serious hiphop tunes where as Dizzee has more of a dance influence recently and more concerned with sales and chart placing than I would assume CTTN would be.
Just because both acts sampled the same nirvana tune doesn't really make that an appropriate basis to compare the two.
I guess everybody is entitled to their opinion...I just dont get the whole'relevant' thing?

Credit to the Nation, this forum is great for reminding me of acts from the early 90s, CTTN must have been pre 94, I'm sure of it, cos I was still living in Margate. so, a mere 15 years ago. I've still got the vinyl of Call it what you want and that one he did with chumbabwumba in th attic somewhere.
hehehe, this place is like an old people's home sometimes. I love it. Proper music when I was a lad, not like all this modern shouty stuff. You can't hear the words nowadays you know. and what's with those haircuts? you can't tell if it's a boy or a girl.

I saw CTTN in '93, '94 and '96 I think so it was around then.
Oh, and they toured as support act to Therapy? (I know, an odd combination but it worked) on the Troublegum tour, so that could have been '92 even. I don't know. It all blurs into one long beer soaked memory and I lose track of time.....
