Actually, one thing that I am worried about as I am an American that's never been fortunate enough to be outside the country before: what are people's general opinions of us nowadays?

Im a funloving, very liberal type that is aware that most of my countrymen that have been able to afford to travel abroad might not have left the rest of the world with the best impression of us. Sorry about that.

Should I just tell peeps Im from Canada?

Nothing to worry about.  I'm from Yorkshire and have a pretty thick accent (if you were from the UK you'd understand).  That's enough to offend most people and I escaped persecution.

Don't worry, all the mates I go with are from down south, as a result on more than one occassion this year I was told to f*ck off back to Scotland...

It really didn't put me up or down,  I just pity them, they are English after all......

More of the same next year!!

Green Army

The opinion in Wakey is that he has gone and f***d up their sound !

There is a rumour that The Cribs wanted more money from their record company , when this
was denied , the came back with "well we have got Johnny Marr now , so lets renegotiate.

But as he will no dobut take a cut , I am not sure that rumour stands.

Although knowing Ryan as I do , it would not surprise me that he demanded an extra £100,000
from Whichita Records then gave Johnny £3 k a week and thought he had put one over them.

:)

:) Ah yes, exotic Yaaaaarkshire...just the hint of a Bratford twang makes me tremble like a whippet in a hailstorm.

Nothing like a bit of random stereotyping to finish off the week eh?  :)
