The folk I'm going with are probably not going to do much stuff that I want to. At Download this is fine, even at evenings if folk were wanting an early one I'd go and make random pals. Is it open and friendly at Glasto or a mixed bag?

Nah, you'll be fine, you'll find loads of people to talk to.

I can say with confidence that Glasto this year was probably the friendliest atmosphere I've ever experienced. Spoke to loads of random people and everyone was great.

Actually, one thing that I am worried about as I am an American that's never been fortunate enough to be outside the country before: what are people's general opinions of us nowadays?
Im a funloving, very liberal type that is aware that most of my countrymen that have been able to afford to travel abroad might not have left the rest of the world with the best impression of us. Sorry about that.
Should I just tell peeps Im from Canada?

Ah you'll be grand. We're quite a discerning bunch in that we hate all americans and everything they stand for until we actually meet one and discover that you aren't actually all the same.
You'll have nothing to worry about anyway - pogo's hair will be distracting everyone anyway. He'll post a photo soon

Your accent will get you attention from the opposite sex, so it's all cool!

The banter is top notch, we had someone camping next to us who was a complete nutter but hilarious at the same time. Think he said he was in a band playing (someone small I'm guessing). I seem to remember our group drunkenly walking around Trash City, Shangri-La etc on the Friday night with him and then later being amazed by some strange cross gender (?!) dancers in the Queen's Head.
Good times.
