At the risk of baying the crowd and going against the trend on only my second post i thought Rolf was pretty average last year. There was a great atmosphere when he came on and he was midly entertaining for the first few songs but the novelty quickly wore off and most people where i was (slap bang in the middle next to the Brothers bar) turned off pretty quickly and got back to baking in the sun with a few brothers in each hand!

Don't think he could sustain the interest of the Pyramid crowd for more than 10 mins.

You wernt there in 04 then when rolf woke glasto up at midday on the sunday with a full pyramid field en easily 50,000 watching him

Seen Rolf 3 times now, all at Glasto, must say the first time I saw him always stands out in my memory, on the barrier at Avalon Stage in 2000. Rolf was always part of my younger years growing up in the 70's / 80's and now in 90's and naughties with his other tv work and music he's a legend and should be crowned king of glaso and given the a free reign to choose when and where to perform at Glasto - my prefered choice would however be a round a glasto camp fire with rolf, a didgereebong, michael eavis, and john peel for a good ole chin wag, shame that can never happen tho

Yes Rolf on the Pyramid on the 12pm Sunday "quo" slot would be poetic justice for the travesty that was this year -   The planners underestimated Rolfs pulling power and at some points I was quite worried there would be a major crush... some reckon 100,000 tried to see him.  I walked away after being squashed against the fence with no way to move forward, but eye witnesses reckon that he was superb...

His name is of glasto legend now so he deserves the pyramid...

What sets him apart from many acts that he is an entertainer.  And that's just what you need on a sunny day to kick off the Pyramid.
I was lucky enough to make the Jazz World this year, though only about half way down, and had a wonderful time.
For the sake of those who couldn't get in let's give Rolf a Pyramid slot.

It's my first Glasto and I'd feel cheated if Rolf didn't play.

Sorry if this has been done before but.......... how about getting Rolf on the Pyramid stage????

I was lucky enough to see him this year on Jazz World but there was not enough room and it was far too hot and people who were walking past could not get through. So I'm pretty sure that Rolf could fill the Pyramid area why not let him????

Come on ME..... Rolf for the Pyramid!

Any thoughts??..........................

bit soon after this year but maybe not as he was so popular and put on a good show.

opening number this year:
