Sorry if this has been done before but.......... how about getting Rolf on the Pyramid stage????
I was lucky enough to see him this year on Jazz World but there was not enough room and it was far too hot and people who were walking past could not get through. So I'm pretty sure that Rolf could fill the Pyramid area why not let him????
Come on ME..... Rolf for the Pyramid!
Any thoughts??..........................

we got there pretty much as he started and you could barly get to the other side of the bridge. So i cnt imagen there were that many on any stage at all. I would be up for a morning with Rolf.

I think last year's (God no THIS year's!) campaign did the trick as at one time it seemed as if his early self-confirmation was a mistake. All's well that ends well and he was brilliant - even bringing the weather from Oz for the day. But, yes, the field was ridiculously full and he needs more space as he wasn't slow to point out.

This needs to happen, absolutely loved him on the Jazzworld this year but he needs a bigger stage!

At the risk of baying the crowd and going against the trend on only my second post i thought Rolf was pretty average last year. There was a great atmosphere when he came on and he was midly entertaining for the first few songs but the novelty quickly wore off and most people where i was (slap bang in the middle next to the Brothers bar) turned off pretty quickly and got back to baking in the sun with a few brothers in each hand!
Don't think he could sustain the interest of the Pyramid crowd for more than 10 mins.

If you were from the UK you would know. He is a legend, but you probably need to be 30-40 to really appreciate it, he is an Australian/English guy and we were brought up with him in this country. Sings a lot of funny songs about the Aussies.
I got to Rolf an hour before the start this year and was right down the front with a nice cold Brothers. Everyone knew it was going to be mental down there you should have turned up earlier. Pyramid for 2010

We went up to the park to watch bombay bicycle club and yes, it was pretty quiet. I would have loved to have seen rolf, but it was just too hot to be in amongst that many people at the jazz world, my red wine and coke would have boiled!
