Yes, your assessment is about right.
Doesn't equate to "cannot headline" (not your comment). Just means they are more of an outsider.
(I think the point I was trying to make (incredibly badly, I admit) was that they are very popular, contrary that post suggesting it was some kind of illusion created by this forum)

Although article doesn't give anyting away. I like the idea of getting into car park on the Tuesday night (subject to council approval)
So 'Traditional Headliners' then...... Mmmmm.
That'll be a top current Indie type Band for Friday night then....
And perhaps a long standing Indie act other night....
And a Rock legend for either Sat or Sun night.
So he's booked Kasabian, Pulp and/or Jarvis Cocker & Led Zep
i hope it is jarvis cockend then I can go on stage and wiggle my arse in protest at HIM

I guess as those 3 are rumoured prety much every year they would be classed as "traditional"
If it does happen to be those 3 i dont think anyone can have much to moan about as they are 3 of the biggest current acts at the moment. I would be pleased with it anyway

Folk bands headlining each night on the Pyramid Stage eh?
Who said Michael has lost his radical edge?
After 3
1, 2, 3,
'Twas an evening in October, I'll confess I wasn't sober,
I was carting home a load with manly pride,
When my feet began to stutter and I fell into the gutter,
And a pig came up and lay down by my side.
Then I lay there in the gutter and my heart was all a-flutter,
Till a lady, passing by, did chance to say:
"You can tell a man that boozes by the company he chooses,"
Then the pig got up and slowly walked away.
Let's Folk...
