Yeah, they're hoping to do it, and hoping that things can be made a bit better for it for next year. They'll be news about it long before the fest, don't worry.

Without Boris Karloff in goal twould have been much closer mate.
Another problem was that apart from my mrs no one was cheering on the ROW. This of course was predicated on the fact that the shower of larger louts over the far side were two cans of Stella from degenerating into this:

Grass cut defo, a mess. Also, a bigger pitch is needed and proper goals.Getting the grass cut = priority 1.
Banning ringers like Engerlund's goalie = priority 2.

True, but the England goalie saved a SHITLOAD too. If he was in goal for us we would've won.getting the rest of the world to accept that were simply better than them = priority 3
Anyway, theres always next year for some revenge!

what do you expect!!
me, i always know a gooner is going to look light in the loafers!!
He's like John Inman though. "I'm free!"

I was 11 for that match, incredible memories. Grown men (my Dad) crying tears of disbelief, cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria. Say the word "Stuttgart" to an Irishman and his concentration will lapse to an innocent time when the impossible became possible. Pity Houghton is such a complete bellringer now. Ex-Reds though. A cynical dispassionate lot.
Bonner played like God though despite us not getting a kick for 80 minutes. Lineker mustve had 5 clear chances. Bonner really was the business in that game. Amazing performance.
The radio the next day was highly amusing... like someone had turned a light on in a darkened room in Ireland.
"TODAY WE DECLARE OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY!" with this man as our leader.

Looking forward to it as well mate. Even though it is a different type of football we'll be watching!Im meeting up with Hogga near the end of this month in London, and well be disscussing it there.
It's nice to see how much people enjoyed this years game. It's still hard to believe how well it went.
Whether it could go as well again (especially with the real world cup next year) is something me and Chaz need to talk about.

say england do have a game on the weds/thursday - cant think of a better warm up for it than the glasto world cup - and think of the HUGE numbers you'll get watching if you have your game 1st - your gonna need bigger buckets!!

Oh dear, the ROW really are bitter about losing aren't they?
Was so much fun playing in the game this year, even better that I got on the score sheet too!
This should definitely be an annual thing if possible, esp in world cup year.
