I've never qued to shower at festivals! And I don't go at a riduclously early time or mid day when bands are on. It's normaly a 10 min job.

so if you don't go at a ridiculously early time, and you don't go when bands are on.... you'll be going at peak times... thus a 2 hour queue!

Sinks are for washing hands and filling small bottles

Who says?

Although I myself can't be arsed, I think having a wash at the sinks is a perfectly acceptable thing to do.

Don't you just love the way we can start an argument about anything?

TAPS.
If you must wash your hair under one.... soak your head... step aside... add shampoo.. then return to rinse.
Don't get a friend to help, and monopolise the frigging thing for 20 minutes whilst having a natter, and chatting to Toni and/or Guy on your mobile to ask for advice about hair care and "roughing it"....

Nah that's what I'm saying, when I go for a shower at festivals before I go at peak times and there's never been a que.

Solar shower or bucket for me does the job fine

Bio degradable shower gel from Millets- a tall man to hold up the bucket/shower over my head- a bikini and hey presto - sorted

Fantastic wake up shower, hair wash, no queuing and then baby wipe the rest

I used the Greenpeace showers last year on the Saturday....was absolutely busted and it was the ticket went about 2 in the afternoon and had a 10 minute wait. They rush you in and out pretty quickly but why do you wanna stay in the shower all day when there is so much else to do!

If you ask the people working at it I'm sure they will be able to tell you the quietest time of the day to use it.

Well, that's just common sense

But yeah, a dab of soapy water under each armpit, wet your hair, then come back to rinse it -- that's what the sinks are for.

I've never had to queUE at the Kidz Field showers. Helps that they look like a half derelict shack from the back, which is the side most people passing by see. They're actually pretty decent though.
