thats alright i supose, but in general i found flaming pie disapointing, especially with his own ballyhoo when released about geting back to beatles standards.

rams about the best of em, and i have to admit that i did nearly enjoy memory almost full, but only nearly.

but then i still have the memories that are the horror shows that are broadstreet, pipes of peace, back to the egg. theres a lot of guff in his repotoire

as i said earlier, i think the man was a genius and is one very few people to actually change music, and maybe its because those dizzy heights raised expectations beyond what is reasonable (for me at least)

Interesting. I may have trawl through and think about it myself. I did actually like some tunes on Pipes of Peace but hmmmm I'll have a retrospective sometimes soon.

To me Calico Skies could have come off the White Album....

for me, thats the point. the man had a hand in 6 classic albums in 4/5 years. so few people hit those heights and so every time he got near it with his solo efforts he would then go and disapoint with the rest of the album.

i know its corny, and fictional character he maybe, but i can never forget that wings are alan partridge's favourite band - that kind of sums up his entire 'solo' career for me!

Bollix.

You clearly know that Macca is a ledge regardless of anything released post 1970.

Stand up straight Tuggs FFS.
