I take it after we all hopefully get tickets on the 4th?

seems early, but then it's the world cup so lots of people may want similar dates off!

That's when I'm planning to send my request in anyway

My boss made a statement last week something about when I go to Glastonbury next year to which I said "so its ok for me to have time off then" he replied "there is no way I am going to be the first person to stop you from going". So that's my time off sorted  .

provisionally booked already - did it pretty much after this years!  Cant officially book it though until we get our new holiday cards in January (boo!)
My team know I want that time off - and if any of them attempt to book it - they know they wont be in my good books!

however I can get my request in early so I'm at the front of the queue - meaning theres no excuse why I wouldn't get it

Gonna ask after the 4th..after we all hopefully get tickets :)

I requested the time off provisionally and the reply to my email said  "You can't provisionally book time off until January"... NB There will not be a problem...

Been with the same company for 5 years, I think they know by now!!

I work in Air Traffic Control, on shifts. Only one of the 7 of us can be off at that time. What I'm hoping works for me is

A) it's not during school holidays which everyone usually fights for
 I'm in Scotland so most of them won't be bothered about the World Cup

I won't know until probably January though!

It's common knowledge around the office that i won't be there during glastonbury festival.

I don't like tempting fate though so won't actually fill out the holiday form until i have a ticket..

Had my time booked off since June, I think I may have done it before the festival. Got Wednesday to Monday off, and don't work Tuesdays anyway. I'm in a partnersip so time off is negotiated, but I make a point of being very flexible with the other 3 partners' holiday for the rest of the year, but they know the Glastonbury period is mine!
